update on costs
Oct 29 2009, 5:06 AM EDT | Post edited: Oct 29 2009, 5:06 AM EDT
after 13.500Km I had to change both tires,
both were at their limit: 1.5mm thread left
took the Lasertec's again, witch costed me 314 Euro's.

will report back in 1500Km when next maintanance is due.

Cheers Christiaan, it's terrific to be ale to keep track. I have to say it's obviously been very reliable...I know you put it to good use but I can't remember you writing about anything going wrong :-) Do you find this valuable?

2. software-update
Monday, 6:38 AM EST | Post edited: Monday, 6:38 AM EST
The past few weeks my bike began to stall when at idle,
setting the "choke" a little helped,
but that could only be temporarely.
Last friday I took the bike to the dealer,
and he informed that there was a software-update (witch I already knew)
and 10 minutes later I had a "new" bike.
Well,
it feels like new:
idle-RPM is now a steady 900-1000 (where it was below 800 before)
starting the bike when cold is easier, I had no real trouble starting the bike , even when freezing, 2 - 3seconds
now it starts right away!
Some report an even higher milage out of a fuel-tank, but it's too soon to tell (weather is like hell: way too much wind and rain)

And of coarse, there were no costs as it was a factory-update :)

Michalis: let him reset the TPS (throttle position sensor), 99% that's what's wrong.

Yes,
the "new" in the software for the V7c is to get rid of the hic-ups of that engine-light.
Re-routing some cables was the first thing they did,
"new" software the 2nd.
As for the idle, that's the TPS (99%)
Other cause could have been (so my dealer told me) an air-leak somewhere.
But is was the TPS that had to be reset.
Takes less than 5 minutes to do (for the dealer that is)
