Muse Live
Next time you're on on your Guzzi, jack your MP3 player to your Davida helmet, put your shades on, crack on the volume, and to hell with everyone else!
Check out some of these Squadra Guzzista favourites!

Given the award of "Best Live Band" in a recent poll I will be able to sample this fact myself on 17th June when I see them play Wembley Stadium, on the bill are also My Chemical Romance and Biffy Clyro! YAAAAAAAHOOOOO!
I have been fascinated by this band's music for sevceral years now and have bought all their albums. I can honestly say, they are one of the few bands of whom one could confidently say that each album offering is truly excellent.
If you don't yet know of this band...where the hell have you been?...but you now have the opportunity to acquaint yourself with what they are about. Music forms an incredibly important part of my life. The holy trinity for me in terms of leisure/amusement/interests is music/footy/guzzis...in no particular order.

I am often asked "what sort of music do they play?" when discussing Muse and, well...they can kick arse in a way very few other bands can, they can be melodic in a manner not many can achieve...their music is by turns, dramatic, beautiful, manic, serene, classical, and boy can they kick butt! ...have I mentioned that?
The best way in which to appreciate what I mean is to listen to it yourself...so, I have come up with the idea of each month promoting bands that I believe all should be aware of...I start with Muse!
Below, I've added links to some of their tracks...from each of their albums...listen...LOUD!!! then go to the shop and buy it! The only way to keep bands such as Muse producing the superb music they do is to support them at the tills...go get their stuff man, you will love it!
The tracks are all in .wma format, so your media players should be ok...if, however, you have a problem, buy the album...take it from me you will not regret it...I hope you enjoy the tunes and this regular feature!
So, the great Wembley event has been and gone...what were Muse like? AWESOME! ...in a word. If you only get to see one band this year, make it this band you will not regret it. For me, it was...almost spiritual...
If you know someone who went, ask them about the "Blackout Balloons". This must be one of the most beautiful sights I have ever seen at a rock concert. Blackout is a track from the "Absolution" album, a beautiful, haunting, tune. At Wembley, its performance was accompanied by two large balloons, lit with a soft blue glow, that rose and floated above the audience. Suspended from the balloons were acrobats, twirling above the heads of the fans.
Check Youtube, there are heaps of clips already uploaded, such as the one above for "Plug in baby". I always knew that tune would work tremendously well live and visualised an audience jumping up and down at the chorus...and so it went. It was incredible seeing the thousands standing in the pitch area jumping in unison. Magical stuff and, I have to say, probably the best gig I have ever been to...period!
The following are some images we took at Wembley showing the stage and a small snapshot of the mesmeric visualisations that were projected onto the enormous backdrop at the rear of the stage...I want those for my media player!!!
