Popped down to the local Texaco Garage here in Staplehurst to pump the rear tyre on my Cali. Popped in my 20p coin into the machine and removed the rear tyre valve cap. Could I fit that hose attachment to my tyre valve? Not a chance, tried every angle I could think of and eventually gave up when the meter ran out on the damned air machine thing.

So Idarted off to the local workshop, nice lads there who are always willing to help (if I mention the company do I get a discount Kevin ??????).

They didnt have the right attachment to pump my rear tyre either but imagine my surprise when Kevin (a fine young man of good character- I might mention) said he too was the proud owner of a Cali . WHAT???? another Guzzi in Staplehurst and I thought I owned the only 2 here!!!!. Bang went my sense of exclusivity and just had to check out the bike, Kevin invited me over and I took my camera along and produced these fine shots:



Kevin is the proud owner of the above Cali 1100i on a P Reg. He acquired this bike about 18 months ago and it only has 9000 miles on it. This bike is pristine, its in fantastic condition. Nice bike Kev! and his missus thinks so too!

Kevin is all ready for our next ride out, just has a small relay problem that needs sorting, oh yea , there's is also that small matter of an outstanding MOT. Doubt whether this bike will have a problem with the latter, its really in fantastic condition despite its age.



This is Kevin's second Guzzi. His first was a LM2 he bought as a box of bits and had to build it, but that's another feature on its own and I'll be getting that out of him soon, so Kev get those pics ready for scanning !
