Welcome to the Squadra Guzzista Pathfinder Squadron, G.P.S.

I have been thinking about setting up a facility that would allow Guzzisti to travel around and help them to make the most of the place they are travelling through.

Guidebooks are fine, but who knows the territory best? Where are the best roads, campsites, scenic areas, hotels, restaurants, repair shops, dealers?Someone who lives there will know!

The idea of this scheme is quite simple. Setting up a network of "pathfinders" all over the place to enable other Guzzisti to contact them for the advice they need.

Guzzisti sign up to be a "pathfinder" by registering on the Squadra Guzzista forum. They are then presented with a version of the above logo which will be displayed in the signature box of the forum profile. For those registered on this website, they should also display the logo on their profile page to let others know they are a Pathfinder, together with the County/State and Country they are based in.

This will allow other Guzzisti to identify which pathfinders exist in the area to be travelled. It is up to individuals then how they manage it but by communicating via the forum or the website's messaging facility, people are then able to plan their route taking into account where the "pathfinder" support is available.

It would be up to individuals themselves how they manage being a "pathfinder" but knowing that Guzzisti are going to be travelling through their patch provides an opportunity to meet new Guzzisti, and for a local run...could be fun!

If you are interested in being a Pathfinder, let me know by e-mail (info@guzzista.com) or message me through the site and I'll explain further or discuss in more detail.

Countries with Pathfinders:
AustraliaBelgiumDenmarkFranceNetherlands
ItalyNew ZealandSpainUnited KingdomUSA

We are all members of the Moto Guzzi family, so let's help other Guzzisti to enjoy, understand, and travel safely through the countries where we live!

Regards, Joe

HI

I'm headed to Barcelona in May. I rented a bike for the weekend May 23-24. Anyone have any ideas on places I should ride or events I should checkout??

Hi,

In Western North Carolina, ( around the Asheville area) there are two Guzzi savvy shops that will help in case of a breakdown or accident. Myers Motorcycles on Sweeten Creek Road in Asheville and ACME Motorcycles in Fairview, NC.

Details on these shops can be found on their respective websites.

Myers- http://www.myersmotorcycles.com

ACME- http://www.acmemotorcycles.com/

I hope this helps,
