Dear Guzzi Brothers, Please log on to KKLH homepage and vote for my CX-100 in the contest for a new paint job. After logging on look for santa on a harley and click, scroll down to the only Guzzi (7down 2 over) then click the box under my bike, then scroll down again and click vote. Thanks for your help guys, we don't want any cheesy harley getting new paint before a 30 yr old Moto Guzzi do we?

I like the photo of the Lario. I'm just new to the Guzzi scene and I am chasing some parts for a Lario... Do you happen to know where I might be able to track down a right front indicator lense? Cheers

Please be advised that I received a ticket from essex ploice for a similar no. plate configuration. They informed me that the number plate must be vertical by law. I had to replace all the original kit and take a form to a MOT centre to be verified. They charged £15 and I then had to produce all my documents at my local police station within the statutory 14 days. Just so's you all know out there.ride long and hard. maxx

Essex Police are a bit anal about things like this but I have never heard of the offence outlined by that officer, Maxx. I have read the regulations and I haven't found it. The specific rules are outlined in this piece of legislation: The Road Vehicles (Display of Registration Marks) Regulations 2001. I couldn't see anything there about a legal requirement for the plate to be vertically fitted.
My advice is to contact Essex Police's control room and ask to be transferred to the Roads Policing Unit. They should be able to give you specific advice.

I'm searching for Sport Touring Bike for longer rides. I was thinking Honda ST1100, but it seems very heavy, or perhaps a Honda Sabre V45 but they a getting old. Two friends say Moto Guzzi, probably 1000 SP, with the wisdom of "don't buy anything you can't pick up. ci I just sold my SV650 and Honda CB500/4. Currently restoring a Suzuki TS185 two stroke and I ride my CT90 everyday around the village.
All advice welcome, I'm 63 and retired and enjoying the chase. cheers Tim

I think the Breva 11 is a terrific choice. They are comfy, solid, easy to use, handle well and are equipped with good brakes. Add to that excellent reliability and I'm sure it'll keep you amused.
When we rode to the New Forest in the spring one of the lads, Phil, was on a Breva 11. What a terrific bike, and it pulls really strongly too.

"Pain in the ass when the cops pay such close attention to a a road as nice as that. I can understand why they do it though if people were a wee bit more responsible perhps they wouldn't feel the need to." That is exactly the problem. The lack of skill and common sense on the part of some riders is absolutely breathtaking!

It is interesting that on the initial preview of the Stelvio in March, 52% said they were unsure about it. I have created the new poll to see if this has changed now that official definitive pictures have been released.

"hi , as I'm a bit short in the leg department a Stelvio would be a bit too tall for comfort ( I'm not as young as I used to be either !! ) and while I'm sure that the small case motor is powerful enough most of the time , its still much less than my LeMans , and I still use most of the old girls perfomance from time to time , and I'd sure miss it if it wasn't there ! " I have a fairly short inseam as well, but with the seat adjusted down as far as it can go, I think it will be fine. From the specs, it sounds powerful enough for me too, but as they say, you can never have too much horsepower! Cheers, Bruce

Yep, that's me :) I took the cases off, so I had less cleaning-work after the ride, it's always a dirty ride but fun

Looking really good Rod, I really like what you've done to it. The gaiters are a great touch...as well as practical. I know you're not into stickers, but it does need an eagle on the side of the tank...purely for aesthetics of course.

Nice one Rod, it's looking great actually. I think the shorter bars do give it a bit more of a focused look. I can't wait to see a pic of it in its new silver colour.
Getting to like the Cali now ain'tcha?
