How long have I been riding bikes? Since '75 or '76

Why Moto Guzzi? Uniqueness

How/when I first became interested in Moto Guzzi: A friend rode a V50 to my house in 1987 He told me he wanted to sell it so I bought it. A year later I got my CX-100






My main type of riding is (competition/pleasure/commute/work): pleasure on the road formerly trials comp.


About my Guzzi...
What is it (model/year):1980 CX-100, 2002 V-11 scura, 2006 Triumph Tiger, 2000 Gas Gas TXT 280, 1976 Bultaco sherpa T, 1971 Sherpa

How long I have owned it The CX-100 since 1988

Is this my first Moto Guzzi:no first was V-50

Other Guzzis in my stable: V-11 scura

Modifications I have made and why: on the X timing gears, dyna, k&n's, paint, powder coated wheels and frame, fairing, why? because it was there?




The bike's main purpose is: fun fun fun

It's quirks: sometimes I have to clean a little gunk off the fuse that runs the starter (every couple of years)

How it compares with other bikes I've owned: other bikes start the old X comes to life!

What it's like to live with: great! I would park it in the living room in the winter if the wife let me!

What it's like to ride: not as comfy as my triumph tiger but loads more character

My bike's most appealing feature is: It looks like no other bike in the area where I live

My bike's best feature is: It's thump thump thump

Would I recommend one like it to my best friend?: one of my best friends has a few
Would I own another, given the chance: I have two already, but yea what the hell

General Guzzi stuff...
What I think of current Guzzi models: not too imperssed not hearing good things from owners of the new stuff


If I could, the one I'd buy tomorrow: I would like to try the Stelvio


My all time favourite Guzzi: I guess it would have to be the Scura in my garage


If I were boss at Mandello I would: leave the mandello factory be and send a guy in Springfield Missouri a stelvio and then go for a ride
