How long have I been riding bikes? since 1956

Why Moto Guzzi? This will be my last bike and i wanted it to be a great one and not only is it great it's a work of art

How/when I first became interested in Moto Guzzi: Had a friend back in the seventies rode a le mans and it was a pleasure riding it even through the snow in winter. I decided then that one day i would buy and enjoy one

My main type of riding is (competition/pleasure/commute/work): sheer pleasure

About my Guzzi...

What is it (model/year): 2008 Norge 1200GT

How long I have owned it: 6 weeks

Is this my first Moto Guzzi: yes

Other Guzzis in my stable: only on paper

Modifications I have made and why: you can't improve on perfection

The bike's main purpose is: touring and fun

It's quirks: none discovered as yet

How it compares with other bikes I've owned: bigger, more comfortable, warmer

What it's like to live with: it's great it just sits there in front of the telly doesn't make any noise (especially doesn't fart like my jack russell) very cheap to feed.

What it's like to ride: still getting used to it. having some difficulty setting up the suspension if i ride east 4lane highways and motorways in any other direction the roads vary from gravel to Australian non urban.

My bike's most appealing feature is: it's looks and it's sounds under pressure

My bike's best feature is: it's owner

Would I recommend one like it to my best friend?: you bet ya bloody life i would

Would I own another, given the chance: yes but a breva for the summer months.

General Guzzi stuff...

What I think of current Guzzi models: all look good

If I could, the one I'd buy tomorrow: MSG 01

My all time favourite Guzzi: 500cc V8

If I were boss at Mandello I would: I'd have a bloody great time testing all the bikes
