If you're here it's because you are either nuts about Moto Guzzi motorcycles, as we are, or maybe because you've been intrigued by them for a while but are unsure about dipping your toe in the water. If it's the latter reason be careful, because once you're bitten by Guzzi there's no salvation. The moment it's in the blood, that's it you'll never lose your fascination for them. This is absolutely true and is one of the reasons why Moto Guzzi have one of the largest and most dedicated set of followers of any other manufacturer.

Squadra Guzzista was set up in 2006 to gather together people who share the same fascination for Moto Guzzi as I do. This website is a wiki, which means each member is able to add his/her own content:- pages, video, images, whatever you feel to fuel your own passion for Moto Guzzi. Join Squadra Guzzista, it's free, and type away. If your unsure about where to start this site is equipped with a full help centre.

I guess it is considered polite to introduce yourself if you are a new member of a forum. I am returning to motorcycles after a 20 year love affair with airplanes. Unfortunately, flying has priced itself out of my budget, so motorcycles are the next best thing..
I am 64 years old. I refuse to play with the years young thing. I have owned a number of Japanese bikes and a Bultaco Metralla. I take delivery of a new Breva 1100 next week. My current machine is a Honda ST1100 that I am trading because
of the weight and targeted mission. I do not like long motorcycle trips. i am in Western Washington and have purchased my Breva from Moto Internatonal. Great people!

As an entry-level geezer, I've been riding for years on lots of different brands and models. My Guzzi experience only dates back 4 years, when a friend bought an '84 V65SP for his son to ride. Within a day or 2 of purchase, his son got a DUI and Mike needed somebody to look after his son's bike. I had the room and we struck a gentleman's agreement that I would keep and maintain the bike. He would pay for parts, tag, and insurance. I had unrestricted use of the bike until a month or so ago when he found a buyer.
During that time with his small block, I developed a real affection for them and bought a derelict V50 a year ago with the intention of fixing it up for my wife. After far too much time, money, and effort, it was up and running last March and we went on her inaugural Guzzi ride. I ended up riding it home and she came back on her Kawasaki. Didn't like the wooden-feeling, almost non-fuctioning front brake (a problem which persists to this day), and said it was too "agricultural," So now I have a marvelous little small block addition to my stable.
I'm in the Charlotte, NC area and would love to ride with other enthusiasts. I had a successful amateur roadracing career many years ago, and while I still will ride briskly at times, I value my license and my health too much to push the envelope much. I've found at my age, it's no longer "how fast it goes." It's "how you look on it!" So the V50, and my Royal Enfield single suit me great.
I have quite a few spares, including a Complete V35 motor and tranny, and I have a good deal of experience working on these now. Anyone in the Charlotte area needing assistance need only contact me.

I'm searching for Sport Touring Bike for longer rides. I was thinking Honda ST1100, but it seems very heavy, or perhaps a Honda Sabre V45 but they a getting old. Two friends say Moto Guzzi, probably 1000 SP, with the wisdom of "don't buy anything you can't pick up.

I just sold my SV650 and Honda CB500/4. Currently restoring a Suzuki TS185 two stroke and I ride my CT90 everyday around the village.

All advice welcome, I'm 63 and retired and enjoying the chase.
cheers
Tim
